The rest of the money has come from trading, foreign companies investing because of relaxed tax laws, millions of tourists and people investing BILLIONS in the property market.

Even at $30 per barrel, the Arab countries would still be making billions per year in GDP.
You have to understand that Arab countries are not all about oil. They are also magnets for Western corporations who see them at financial tax havens, that alone brings billions in foreign investment which in turn is used to develop infastructure.
Incidently; what does the UK produce now? Nothing. The manufacturing has been sourced to India and China….

Dubai is just a big ponzi scheme – much like the property markets in the west but magnified many times. The problem with Dubai as with most Arab countries is that they haven’t actually built anything themselves, they have no infrastructure in place and they don’t have the knowledge necessary to progress. I can’t wait till this bull run in the markets is over and oil drops down to $30 a barell again. Get the Arabs selling rugs again – bastards.
